Course Details
Hazard Communication (HazCom) Training prepares general industry employees to recognize and safely work with the hazardous chemicals they encounter on the job under OSHA's Hazard Communication Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1200. This self-paced online course explains how chemical hazards are identified, classified, and communicated in the workplace, in alignment with the Globally Harmonized System (GHS). Participants learn to interpret chemical labeling and GHS pictograms so they can quickly assess a container's physical and health hazards. The training also shows learners how to locate, read, and apply Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to handle chemicals correctly and respond to spills, leaks, or exposures. Because HazCom is grounded in employee right-to-know principles, the course covers where to find the employer's written hazard communication program and chemical inventory. Together these lessons build the practical awareness workers need before handling hazardous chemicals on the job.
The course is delivered entirely online and completed at your own pace, with progress tracked automatically in the TTI learning management system. It is designed for maintenance, custodial, production, warehouse, and logistics staff, along with any worker who may be exposed to hazardous chemicals during their duties. Learners who complete every module, pass the required assessment, and finish the course evaluation earn a certificate of completion and 0.10 IACET CEU, which documents training rather than serving as a license. Enroll today to give your team the practical HazCom and Safety Data Sheet knowledge OSHA expects before they work around hazardous chemicals.
