What You’ll Learn?

OSHA 10 refers to the OSHA 10-hour Outreach Training Program, which provides basic safety and health information to entry-level workers. It's a voluntary program designed to raise awareness about workplace hazards, not a mandatory OSHA standard. The training is delivered by OSHA-authorized trainers and can be completed online or in person. 
OSHA 10 Card: Upon successful completion, participants receive an OSHA 10 card, issued by the Department of Labor, which is often required by some employers or localities. 
Key Learning Outcomes:
Understand the OSH Act and OSHA’s mission, structure, and resources
Recognize OSHA inspection priorities and the steps in the inspection process
Know your rights and responsibilities as an employer or employee under the OSH Act
Identify and manage common workplace hazards, including:
Slips, trips, and falls
Emergency egress and fire protection
Flammable and combustible materials
Chemical and electrical hazards
General safety standards
Learn the proper use, limitations, and value of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Explore the essential components of a workplace safety and health program

Jose Zepeda, MS, GSP, CSHO-C&G  

With over 25 years of experience in the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) field, I have held numerous leadership roles dedicated to advancing workplace safety, regulatory compliance, training, and workforce development. My career has included designing and leading safety training programs, conducting risk assessments, developing HSE policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with federal and industry-specific standards.

I hold a master’s degree in occupational safety and health, which has deepened my expertise in hazard identification, occupational regulations, industrial hygiene, and safety program management. This academic foundation has played a key role in developing effective training curricula and driving a culture of safety excellence.

As the current Director of Training, I lead the creation, implementation, and oversight of organization-wide training initiatives focused on health, safety, and operational procedures. My combined experience in HSE operations and education enables me to develop impactful training programs and lead teams with a strong focus on practical application and continuous improvement.
