Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) training teaches workers to use gear (glasses, hard hats, etc.) to block hazards, while a Hazard Assessment identifies which hazards (chemical, physical, biological) exist in a job to determine what PPE is needed, forming a critical safety process that ensures correct equipment selection, proper fit, use, care, and maintenance for worker protection as the last defense against injury.
