This blended learning course provides foundational and applied driver safety training for individuals operating company or commercial vehicles in occupational settings. The course combines online instruction, guided commentary-based learning, and in-vehicle or simulation-based driving components.

Participants will learn safe driving practices, hazard recognition, defensive driving strategies, and regulatory expectations related to workplace vehicle operation. The training emphasizes real-world decision-making through commentary driving techniques, where drivers verbalize hazard perception, risk assessment, and safe response strategies while operating a vehicle.

Delivery Method

Blended — online instruction combined with an in-person, behind-the-wheel commentary drive.

Participants complete the online instruction at their own pace within the allotted access period and take part in the in-person commentary drive.

Criteria for Earning IACET
