Course Overview
This course provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements governing the specification, inspection, testing, operation, maintenance, and transportation of hazardous materials in cargo tanks and portable tanks. Participants will learn how to identify applicable regulatory requirements, interpret tank specifications, understand inspection and testing obligations, and apply compliance practices to ensure the safe transportation of hazardous materials.
The course focuses on requirements contained within the Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR), including relevant provisions of 49 CFR Parts 171–180.

Prerequisites
